Attorneys
For
The Defense
(Defending
Kathi)
| Deputy
Public Defender Cheryl Thompson. She is an extremely
effective and knowledgeable mental health attorney. She aggressively
defended Kathi's rights against a punitive and deceitful
individual - Richard Dorsey MD.
In
part, because Cheryl was a warrior for the mentally ill, she
was removed from defending them. Apparently because
she interfered with the agenda of the Medical Director of
Mental Health - Dorsey.
|
 |
| Deputy
Public Defender Berry worked along side Cheryl Thompson in
her department. Berry has also successfully defended
Kathi. |

Attorneys For
The County
(trying
to keep Kathi locked up)
| County Counsel Shirvan Acosta,
was a legal mouth piece for Dorsey in an attempt to lock
away Kathi Stringer without appropriate and therapeutic
care. |
 |
| County
Counsel
Mike Ellis continued to represent Dorsey's intent to keep
Kathi locked up. His participation in Dorsey's agenda
allowed the treatment team directed by Dorsey to continue to
harm Kathi. |

Patient's Rights Advocates
For the Defense
(Advocating for
Kathi's Rights)
| Chief Patient's Rights' Advocate
for Riverside County, Theresa Galvez testified that the in
her 22 years as an advocate she has never seen so many rights
violated.
Ms. Galvez is extremely talented in her profession helping
individuals requiring her services. |

| Expert Witness Certification
Review Hearing Officer Bill Shalhoub stated that Kathi's
rights were denied without good cause in court. |
 |
| Gerald Rupert witnessed
treatment staff on Ward A lying to Kathi. In his presence
staff promised to Kathi that if she agreed to come down from
a patio canopy, she would not be put into seclusion.
When she agreed and came down, she was immediately put into
seclusion. Bill Shalhoub (above) stated in court this
is deceitful and not therapeutic. |
 |
| Before
contacting the Office of Patient Rights, Kathi asked Dorsey
to address staff mistreatment to her. He responded in
writing, "...If you believe you can prove by evidence
other than your unsupported assertion that you were
addressed by staff in this matter, please send that evidence
to me."
A
second letter was sent to Elisa Stone. This patient rights advocate
investigated unprofessional treatment of staff working under
Dorsey. It was concluded by the Asst Head Nurse,
Gerald Rupert and Elisa Stone that staff treated Kathi
Stringer unprofessionally. Patient rights experts also
concluded that Kathi was held down and medicated against her
will without good cause in addition to her rights being
denied without good cause.

Expert
Witnesses
For the Defense
| This
Expert Witness, Dr. Kania testified that it seemed to him
that the treatment team was in a 'power struggle' with
Kathi. |
 |
Doctors
and Staff
| This
Administrative MD was not attending to patients before
seeing Kathi. He dismissed Kathi's treating doctor and
entered into a power-struggle with her. In the course
of (mis)-treatment, he lied to a Judge, disobeyed court
orders, and orchestrated the treatment team that psychologically
harmed her.
Dorsey
also testified that Kathi had a 'bad personality' disorder
among other condescending statements.

| This MD, Kathi's doctor
ignored a subpoena by the Court. His testimony was
requested by Kathi's attorney Cheryl Thompson. He
failed to show. This appeared as a play by Dorsey to
prevent Kathi a from getting fair trial. |
 |
| This MD acted as an agent to
carry out Dorsey's orders at times. Even though I
liked this MD, I felt sorry for him because it appeared that
he was not able to stand up the punitive Medical Director -
Dorsey. |
 |
| Unit
Supervisor for ward A & B. He was directed by
Dorsey and he was the (mis)-treatment team leader for
Kathi. His involvement and certain actions were illegal
and harmed Kathi. |

County Agencies
| This person
acted as my temporary conservator (T-Con) during the court proceedings.
He was present in court as testimony was heard. |

Kathi
Stringer
and Cristina Cabrera
| This is me, Kathi
Stringer. Cheryl Thompson defended me with every ounce
of her strength. She gave me hope, respect and
validation. Cheryl and her office provide a
defense that eventually freed me from Dorsey and his (mis)-treatment
team. |
 |
| This is Kathi's best friend
and has witnessed Dorsey laughing at Kathi when she was
seriously attempting to obtain useful information. |
