Ingleside Hospital - Part 5
You know Ed, this sounds like the kind of service I got when a psych hospital mistreated me, and on the most important points, Patients Rights dropped the ball and cited it was my word against the staff, even THOUGH THERE WAS SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION in the clinical notes to support my allegations.
Also Ed, I don't know if you know this, but the state of California mental health is under investigation by the Federal Justice Dept for massive abuses in their STATE hospitals. The Dept of MH blocked access to the Justice Dept citing they had to get ready for JCAHO accreditations and can't handle another investigation until AFTER JCAHO is finished. Now, this gives you an idea how much the State Dept of Mental Health cares about solving abuses when they are abusing people in there own house.
This is exactly why your story is so damm important. I plan on getting your message out there very soon. Let me know if Carole [Mathews] ever follows up with you....
Also, I'd forget contacting the California Dept of Mental Health. I'd try their oversight dept of California Dept of Health and Human Services, and if they off-hand your case to a lower entity, I'd write the Governor Directly....Kathi
