EMMA LOMBARDO
TAPED INTERVIEW ON MARCH 21, 1991
Note this before we begin:
When the murder occurred, only two people saw the gunman in the dental
office.
One was Virginia and the other was Emma.
Virginia has given her statement that she had view of the side door.
That the lab door would have squeaked if a person had entered and no one came
though that door.
Virginia said the gunman / robber must have already been in the building, in the
back hiding.
Minutes before the murder, Norm, Emma and Virginia heard a noise in the back
room.
They dismissed the noise as one of their machines acting up again.
FYI: Click here to see office layout.
Emma did NOT see where or how the gunman came into the building.
Emma did NOT say the gunman looked like Jason.
Notice in this interview that the police are trying to urge Emma to say who the
gunman resembled. [Jason]
We have read content in the newspaper following the day of the murder and the police claim the gunman came in the building shortly after 1:00 PM, though the side door past Virginia in pursuit of Norm. He chased Norm into the hallway up to where Emma could ONLY see the back of the gunman. Norm flew though the hall door and shut it behind him blocking the path of the gunman. The gunman fired through the door and then fled the scene. The police also claim Virginia did not have contact with the gunman and dismissed her as a creditable eye witness of this event. In the newspaper the following morning, police say they do not have a suspect, but yet did NOT report Virginia's version to the newspaper, only THEIR theory (that the gunman went past her and not was hiding in the back) . By reviewing the evidence, we believe Jason and Virginia were the prime suspects the day the murder occurred.
How much did the witness Emma Lombardo see?

A. The x-ray room. I mean in the blue room where I get the instruments. [Room #3]
A. So after I took the instrument then I went into the first room.
A. And then , about, maybe three minutes, or three minutes later I heard running, like heavy footsteps and I saw Doc running, going to that door. To the waiting room.
Q. Where did he appear to be running from? Could you tell?
A. When I was in that room I can see it, you know. He was running for the door, though the door that went to the waiting room.
Q. Yeh, but where was he starting from, do you think?
A. That I don't know. I couldn't tell you.
Q. Was he running from down the hall or was he running from his office, where his desk is? Running from that area?

Q. Did you hear the doctor say anything?
A. I think he said "Help me".
