Robotics, Circuits, Mechanics, Servo Motors, Controls and etc 

Have you ever went to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Chucky Cheese's  or an amusement park and wondered how they make the animated characters?  Have you ever thought it would be fun to build something if you know how, but you don't know where to start?  Well, I have!  For many years I have wanted to get stated with animatronics.  Yet before the advent of the Internet finding information wasn't easy.  Not only that, there wasn't much in the way of building components. 

In my quest to build an animated character or android, I've noticed that there is only bits and pieces of information here or there.   For instance, what kind of device would be the best to use for mouth movement?  A stepper motor? A servo motor?  A air cylinder? A solenoid?

And once that problem is solved, what would be the best way to synchronize a voice with mouth movement?  These and many other questions are the focus of this website.  I should mention that this website is a continuous evolving process.  Many questions I don't know the answers to myself but I certainly plan an publishing the answers once I find them.
