MIXX ENTERTAINMENT COLLABORATES
WITH CENTRAL PARK MEDIA TO PUBLISH SAILOR MOON AND
PARASYTE COMICS IN THE JAPANIMATION STATION™ SECTION OF
AMERICA ONLINE (AOL)
Los Angeles, October 22, 1999
- Joel Baral, Director of Business Development for Mixx
Entertainment, announced today the launch of Tokyo
Station™, a new section in the Japanimation section of
America Online (AOL). Tokyo Station™ is the result of an
exciting new collaboration between Mixx Entertainment
and Central Park Media.
By logging onto AOL and typing keyword "Japanimation,"
users will be taken to Japanimation Station™, the
premiere anime and manga destination for AOL users.
There, they will find the new Tokyo Station™ section
which includes daily pages from Sailor Moon and Parasyte
Manga (comics) - two of Mixx Entertainment's most
popular titles. Manga pages are updated everyday,
bringing fans back to the site again and again.
"Mixx and Central Park Media are trend-setting leaders
in bringing great manga and anime to the US," said Baral.
"Bringing the art of Sailor Moon and Parasyte to a wider
audience is why we all got into this business, and it's
great to work with CPM in creating more exposure for
this terrific material."
"As Japanimation Station™ is the premiere anime site on
AOL, we are constantly looking to diversify the content
available to anime fans and are very happy to make
Sailor Moon and Parasyte comics available to them," said
Henry Lai, Multimedia Producer for Central Park Media.
Both the Sailor Moon and Parasyte pages on Japanimation
Station™ will start at the beginning of their respective
sagas letting fans relive the magic while introducing
the stories to a new audience. "Sailor Moon enthusiasts
will love it, and those who don't know the characters
can check it out at home at no charge. We are especially
excited to bring Parasyte to Japanimation Station™ and
Tokyo Station™ visitors, a comic that will surprise a
lot of people!" said Baral. |
